Although these salty crackers make a staple on Christmas eve next to a cheese ball in a crudité platter, you can have just crack them at an anytime time or add them to your favorite soup. They are very simple to make and customizable in different variations. Moreover, you can make them plain, flavor them with thyme, garlic, rosemary, or paprika, or top them with nuts or sesame seeds.
If you do not want to squeeze yourself when preparing dinner for your guests, then these crackers will save you. Make them a week ahead of time, and store them in an air-tight container until the said date.
You can make these crackers in the shape you want. Whether you decide to cut them using molds, such as a Christmas tree, snowman, or a star to commemorate the Christmas season or cut them using a ravioli or pizza slicer, these crackers are rewarding. You can make them fluffily thick, or crispy thin depending on your preference. Just make sure to poke them with a fork if you want them thinly crunchy, and do not overbake them as they do bake fast.

Knead then let the dough rest for 20 minutes.
Then, roll the dough cut, poke the crackers, brush them with olive oil, and bake.
Finally, let the crackers cool then serve.
This is completely up to you. I am pulling for you hereafter some ideas. However, as I mentioned, these crackers are rewardingly customizable, and they allow you to add the flavor you want to satisfy your taste buds.
The choices are many. Here are some ideas:
– Snack with cream cheese, peanut butter, or Labneh.
– Along with veggies in a crudité platter.
– An appetizer plate with cheese balls.
– With your favorite dips such as French onion dip or white beans dip.
– Along with your favorite soup.
If you are making small batches, trust me they won’t last. However, if you are making large batches, then you can keep them in an air-tight container or zip lock bag for up to a week. Although you can freeze them, I am not a fan They are always more delicious and crunchier when they are fresh.
A zip lock or an air-tight container makes a perfect environment to prevent these crackers from becoming soft. The reason is that you want to avoid humidity from sneaking in.
