Some FAQs about chocolate chip cookies:

How to get chewy cookies?

That’s why I am recommending adding 2 eggs to this recipe. If you want chewier cookies, add an egg yolk to the batter.

How to store these cookies?

To preserve the quality of the cookies you bake, make sure to store them in an air-tight container. They can last up to 5 days.

If you are good at mixing with a hand mixer then it is ok not to use a stand mixer. Just make sure to beat the butter and sugar well to cream the butter.

How to prevent my cookies from getting flat?

First, avoid adding an excess baking soda to the batter. Also, make sure to chill the dough. Otherwise, they will spread fat.

Why do some cookies become so hard?

If you over whisk the cookie batter after adding the flour then they will become hard. That is because overworking the flour will form more gluten which will lead to harder cookies. Try under-baking the cookies to get fudgy chewy cookies.
