Vegan, preservatives-free, and extremely low in fat and calories, this creamy white bean dip requires a few ingredients and minutes to come together.
Looking for a healthy snack? It is the creamy white bean dip time! Since I started preparing this dip at home, it has become on the bucket list of my family’s favorite healthy snacks. It is by far one of the best healthy recipes to make. Vegan, preservatives-free, and extremely low in fat and calories, it comes together in a few minutes to enjoy a creamy, flavorful healthy appetizer, dip, or spread.
Making this creamy white bean dip requires a few ingredients that you usually have around the house. Throw white beans in the food processor. Top it with stir-fried garlic and hears. Drizzle lemon juice and blend all ingredients to a smooth creamy consistency. You will end up with a crowd-pleasing dip full of protein, fiber, healthy fats, and mouthwatering flavors.
If you have a hard time convincing your kids to eat veggies, I feel you. I believe most of us as parents have the same challenge at home. Helas! This dip is a game-changer. Serve the dip first, then the veggies. And watch your kids excited. Few minutes and the veggie plate will disappear.
To intensify the flavor, and end up with a thick creamy dip, I add sometimes chickpeas. Make sure though to balance the amounts of white beans versus the chickpeas. We want to end up with a white bean’s flavor, not a hummus dip.
This creamy white bean dip makes a fantastic appetizer for a lunch, or dinner party. It is best served with a crudité platter loaded with cucumber, celery sticks, carrots, chips, or crackers.
I like to toast some pita bread or baguettes slices and have them with this dip as a quick dinner.
You can have this dip as a creamy sandwich spread. Simply spread it over a pita bread loaf along with falafel or a mix of vegetables and have a delicious sandwich spread.
With only a few minutes to whip up, you can always improvise when preparing your snack or dinner by adding this creamy white bean dip to your plates.
Throw garlic, oil, tahini, lemon, and beans together in the food processor. Whip the ingredients off until you reach the right consistency.
If you want the dip thick, add a little amount of chickpeas. For a smooth dip drizzle some water.
If you are cooking the beans at home or using a can, just make sure to use the right amount of beans. 1 can of beans is equal to one cup and three-quarters of a cup of cooked beans.
So that’s it, fry minced garlic with herbs and top this dip up to feed your taste buds.
That’s it. This easy white bean dip is now ready.
If you decide to create a large amount of this dip, you can make use of an air-tight container to store it for 3 days. Make sure to place the container in the refrigerator.
When you take it out from the fridge, just mix it well and drizzle olive oil on the top. You will feel like having a fresh dip that you’re just done preparing!
